The three of us (me, Lu-zanne + Zuzi) left the evening with our arms laden with cupcakes, warm coffee for the road, and the cutest water bottles that have already taken their place as our wedding season thirst quenchers.
We had tired, but broad smiles on our faces. We enjoyed this wedding. A lot. A whole whole lot.
You know that photographers are in their element when they have lots of time to be creative, capture the most exquisite details, have fun taking photos of each other for our new Facebook profiles and just marvel at how wonderful life truly is. This was what it was like for us. A wedding for the books. What it was like for Steffan and Anria, I cannot even begin to imagine. They had the clearest blue sky day you could ask for. The prettiest and biggest variety of flowers I have ever seen on one venue.
Wooden tables stacked in a long line carrying only the bare essentials, prepared to welcome only the most delicious platters of food for tonights feast.
And an ombre colour scheme of flowers hanging from a gazebo built the previous day. It was magical, the garden, the celebratory air, the spots we could choose from to take photos at. I think I’ll stop reminiscing right here, before I annoy too many of you :)
Steffan is a chef and Anria a designer with her own clothing boutique in Stellenbosch. They met in Prieska on her family farm during a function where Steffan was assisting. Steffan had Anria’s ring made from a sprig of Thyme. It’s one of a kind and it’s stunning. I don’t know them well enough to speculate too much, but what I saw on their wedding day is a couple who can be goofy, have fun, be romantic, relax and enjoy their day and it was amazing to be able to watch that. To be a small part of it.
A+S: Thank you! I hope you love reliving your day through these! xx
