I’ve had 2 most embarressing moments in my life. One happened a long time ago and the other during this shoot. I’m not going to humiliate myself further by telling you what happened, but suffice it to say that it had something to do with a bird. In the sky.
I think it’s pretty obvious that I love photographing these awesome friends of mine. I had the honour of documenting their wedding day last year September in Pretoria. And for their first anniversary they decided to visit Kalk Bay. We spent the afternoon roaming the cobbled streets and stopping at random places for photos. To put it more accurately I guess I should say, everytime we reached the top of a hill, we tried to catch our breath under the guise of ‘taking photos’! haha
Simoné is a wedding photographer in her own right and you can check out the work of this talented lady over here. Kobus is an engineer and seriously loves his wifey so much that he dutifully listens to our all consuming conversation about photography at dinner!
Oh and if you’re curious about Sims’ pretty earrings/ring/brooch that she had made especially for this shoot – it was made by another awesome friend of ours, Joni Short and owner of Fraij. Go check it out!
* If you’re a regular on my blog, you’ll notice a new audio player gadget just below here on the left. If you just press play, you’ll be able to hear music that I’ve selected especially to go with this post. It seriously takes looking at photos to another level! Give it a try :)
This song was actually sent to me by Leaticia, my amazing client from just a few posts ago! I seriously have the best clients. They are more like friends x
Enjoy awesome people!
