To sum up Abhi + Harish’s personalities, here’s a quote from one of her first emails to me: “Haha… Kind of like country pumpkins waiting to turn into movie stars.”
A + H got married in a traditional South Indian wedding. The festivities had started as early as July already and continued until a week after the wedding in September. When Abhi started emailing me for a ‘honeymoon couple shoot’ all the way from Singapore, the excitement literally oozed out of the computer screen. The only important thing I needed to remember? Colour. And lots of it!
What makes this shoot even more special is that I had my mom visiting me from Mpumalanga for the week to celebrate the good news (ahem.. newly established Nikon girl). So, we picked these two up from their honeymoon house in Campsbay and took them (literally) all over Cape Town. And at the end of the night, I got to do my most favourite thing since becoming a Capetonian. Showing people the city lights at night from Signal Hill. Magical!
A +H: I feel so lucky to have spent an afternoon with you guys here in Cape Town. I hope the pictures are all you imagined them to be. And kudos to you for being the first of your friends ever visiting South Africa. Hope to see you here again someday soon! xx
For Photographers: We had counted on the sun setting at 6:30pm, but instead it went down at like 5pm! It was extremely overcast during the shoot on the beach but we were able to continue until 7:30pm. Most of the beach shots were taken on ISO’s between 1600 – 6400. The D4 is so ridiculously awesome, it should be illegal.
The assistant. Thanx Mom and sorry about the cold!
