Cape Town Wedding | Marius + Carin | Brenaissance

Their day started off extremely calm and relaxed. Lu-zanne and I pitched up way to early so we went to Steers for a milkshake. I should have known it was only the quiet before the storm. And what a storm we had! I don’t believe in my 2.5 years in Cape Town, I’ve ever experienced wind as crazy as this day! I remember reading someone’s tweet that afternoon that says the wind had reached 120km/h in Camps Bay. HECTIC! But..

The wind couldn’t have chosen a more chilled and composed couple to deal with its force. Carin and Marius traveled with their family and friends all the way from Pretoria for this magical day and nothing was going to spoil that! I really admire them and especially Carin who willingly abliged a crazy photographer’s whim to walk up a very steep hill (in heels) for an awesome photograph! Carin, jy ROCK!

It was also such an incredible priviledge to work with the Absolute Collection team for the very first time.

Karla is so good at making everyone, including me feel comfortable! For once I wasn’t the only one who knew the schedule and it felt awesome having someone who was looking out for the time and making sure that everything went smoothly!

One of the coolest highlights of their day was sneaking them back to the reception to walk in with Heinz Winckler announcing their arrival!

This was all thanx to Carin’s mom and such an amazing surprise! My cheeks started hurting from smiling so much as the two unsuspecting lovebirds came walking into the reception.

Guys, thank you SO much for choosing me as your photographer! I enjoyed it way more than I should have considering this is my job and I hope these photographs will always bring back wonderful memories.
